Child allowance
Child allowance is provided as financial support and is means tested.
Childbirth and adoption allowance
Childbirth and adoption daily allowance is provided as financial compensation for loss of income when you are absent from work as a result of pregnancy, birth or adoption. You are entitled to receive childbirth and adoption allowance if you meet the statutory requirements concerning special leave etc and daily allowance during pregnancy, childbirth and adoption.
